I bet like me you’ve tried drugs to fix your problem but they haven’t. Maybe at some point on your health journey using drugs just didn’t feel like the right thing to do. That’s how I felt when my OB (whom I adore) offered me a drug to bring our baby into this world. (p.9)
As a medical doctor I was trained to use pharmaceuticals to treat dis-ease. Prescribing medication to manage dis-ease feels like putting a bandage on a patient’s boo-boo to make it go away. Yet every parent knows that bandages don’t make boos-boos go away, they cover them up. Out of sight, out of mind, right?
Bandages work great for simple cuts, where the body can heal and rebalance itself easily, but it’s a different story for chronic dis-ease. Once you remove the bandages or medications, the boo-boos or symptoms return.
Practicing medicine this way didn’t feel right for me. So I re-evolved into a consultative holistic pediatrician to help children re-balance through diet and lifestyle changes.
Learn how I explain health and disease to parents in my practice (p.8) and a simplified path to re-balance your body using these three self-love habits: Eat, Rest, Move! (p.17)
I’d love to know…
