“Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second.” –William James
How many times have you pushed hard only to collapse before the finish line (your desired goal)? I know I have. Not once or twice, I collapse all the time. I fail so often that I’ve mastered the process. LOL.
There’s a soulFULL pace to reaching your dreams.
First you PUSH HARD! You give it all you’ve got – you’re two feet in. This pace isn’t sustainable. You can only do it in short bursts. If it’s a workout, maybe it’s 20 seconds. If it’s a beginning of a new project, maybe it’s 90 days. Then what happens?
You REST. Either you’re out of breath in the first scenario, or out of life balance in the second – too much DOing, not enough BEing. Rest always follows a push. You pause to recover, return back to balance. Now here’s where the rubber meets the road: when you rest, it’s critical to reflect so you can PIVOT before you REPEAT the process again – Push Hard. Rest. PIVOT. Repeat.
What “failure” pushed you to pivot? Post a comment and share. Your words heal.
Peek inside Issue08 of Dr. Sue Health SoulFULLY and learn how to reflect with a quiet mind, so you can easily tap into your intuition, pivot if necessary, then follow your heart smarts with directed action (aka Push Hard). Life is a divine process. Every step is there for a reason. There are no mistakes (“failures”) in life, only gifts scattered along the way. Your job is to keep showing up. Keep quieting your mind. Keep opening your heart. Keep listening, TRUSTING, and following your heart smarts with directed action. Head + Heart = Health.
